Networks and Remote Working

client-Assyst can be configured to run on peer to peer or client-server networks and to allow remote working:-

Networking

In a networked environment, the client database can reside on a server (client-server network) or on one of the workstations (peer to peer network). Whichever set-up is appropriate for your organisation, any number of computers can access the database at the same time and all can be viewing / updating client records.

You will need an additional license for each computer accessing the database. (You do not need a license for the computer/server holding the database.)

Remote Working

For remote working, client records can be transferred / copied to and from a laptop. This allows one or more consultants to periodically transfer / copy clients from the master database to their laptop, for these records to be updated away from the office on the laptop, and then copied back / synchronised when they return to the office. An additional license is required for each laptop.

Alternatively, our software can be set up to allow remote access via the internet to your system and database either on an occasional (away from the office) basis or more regularly by remote based staff. (Broadband required for both, Microsoft Small Business Edition required for multiple remote based staff).

Note: For the cost of an additional license see Pricing.
